1. Question the user to make certain the Wireless enable switch on the laptop is ON. Many laptops have a switch to disable the wireless card to conserve battery life.
2. Right click on the wireless network icon in the taskbar and choose “View Available Wireless Networks”

3. On the “Wireless Network Connection” page choose “airnet” and click “connect”.

4. If it does not connect right away click remove the “airnet” configuration by:
a. Click on “Change advanced settings” under the “Related Tasks” tool pane on the left hand side.
b. Highlight the “airnet” network in “Preferred networks” section and click on the “Remove” button.
c. Click “OK” and try connecting again.
5. If after that it does not connect then it is most likely a driver, Firewall or Internet Protection issue. Refer the problem to a Technician and tell them what you have done so far and they will fix the problem.
6. When connected open Internet Explorer. It should give you an warning concerning a problem with the security certificate. This is normal. Click on "Continue to this website"

8. The next page is the wireless log in page. Have the user enter their log in information according to the instructions.
9. If it does not connect to the computers home page check the following before referring to a technician:
a. That the user is using the correct username and password, including putting "wscc\" or "student\" before the username.
b. If the website seems to be taking a while to load after login, click on the Home button and see if it goes on.
c. Have the user disable any firewall they may be running.
